The Position

SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

Main purpose:
Social media manager is responsible for planning, developing, implementing and managing strategies for the social media accounts of the Italian Hotels, in line with the brand values, identity and tone of voice. The Social Media Manager effective manage the social media presence in order maximise visibility, coverage and revenue generation. He/she implements local social media actions, working cohesively with the Social Media Agency, Regional Marketing & the Centre to ensure an integrated social media marketing approach in all Italian region.
Reports to: Regional Marketing Director.

Main duties & responsibilities:
• Together with the social media agency, Social media manager establishes an organization’s online presence and brand value by promoting the Hotels and services using videos, photos, infographics and text posts on social media platforms;
• Together with Regional Marketing Director & agency design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals. Serves as the Social media brand guardian / liaison, verifying all channels reflects brand voice;
• Planning and developing monthly social media content plan and campaigns for all the hotels;
• Crafting compelling content & Videos or getting it developed;
• Liaise with the Marketing and PR managers on property to fill in the social media calendar with all the relevant information about events, happenings, influencers staying at the hotels;
• Set specific objective and report ROI and Supervise content daily;
• Monitor the community management activities;
• Define key performance indicators and KRAs for social media campaigns;
• Conduct monthly meetings with the Social Media Agency to analyse performance;
• Strategize the definition of the social media audiences with the agency to align with the business objectives;
• Conduct quarterly strategy meeting with Agency and Regional Marketing Director;
• Analyse the monthly performance reports;
• Conduct social media competitor analysis;
• Together with Regional Marketing Director manage the social media budget and develop the social media marketing plan annually;
• Staying on top of the latest social media trends and up to date with the digital technologies;
• Use tools such as Buffer, Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Canva or any other social media marketing tools that you currently use or plan to use;
• If needed support with the tracking of SEO and web traffic metrics;
• Knowledge of best practices for social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, WeChat, etc.;
• Creation & development of initiatives to promote the outlets in the social media channels;
• Support the Regional Marketing team to update with new content and check regularly the website of the Roman properties;
• Coordinate with the photographers and hotels all the Social media pre-shooting agenda. If necessary execute on site Social media photo-shoots and video together with the marketing team on property;
• Coordinate the Social Media Ambassador for the creation, content generation (photos, videos, Instagram lives during events);
• Monitor all coverage in order to protect the brand presence as well as strengthen the hotel’s positioning;
• Join agency calls with Regional office as necessary and when requested.

Other requirements:
• Significant experience leading a brand’s social media initiatives;
• Excellent understanding of how to craft effective social media strategies;
• Experience with social media tools;
• Excellent understanding of social media analytics and abilities to develop social media campaigns;
• Extensive knowledge of a variety of current social media platforms;
• Digital marketing knowledge;
• Copywriting skills;
• Excellent spoken and written English;
• Effective time-management skills;
• Graphic design skills is a plus.
