THE JOB:

The Social Media Specialist serves as an ambassador across all social media touch points, managing workflow, content calendars, publishing and engaging with guests, fans, and followers. This role requires a passion for fast moving content trends to foster engagement.

THE STARTING RATE: $22.15

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Create content and manage social media accounts with brand voice consistency; develop content calendars in accordance with set timelines and corporate guidelines.

  • Leverage social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, Pinterest, YouTube, etc.) to build, nurture, and engage with the brand's online community

  • Monitor and analyze community conversations, sentiments, and feedback to gain insights into audience preferences, trends, and perceptions to provide regular updates to partners

  • Assist with monthly and campaign reporting by ensuring all content is tagged appropriately and provides highest/lowest performing content with context

  • Identify opportunities to mobilize influencers and brand advocates who align with brand goals

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or a GED

  • 2 years prior social media development experience

  • Ability to work various shifts, which includes weekends and holidays

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, Marketing, Business Management, or equivalent education and experience

  • One (1) year of social media marketing, advertising, or equivalent experience

  • Proficient in digital and social media across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.

  • Experience managing and working with social media tools and platforms, including popular SaaS systems such as Sprinklr, Hootsuite, TrackMaven, etc.

  • Strong copywriting skills

  • Able to articulate current trends and remain up to date on the use of social media platforms

  • Able to use photo editing software such as Canva and Adobe Express, as well as basic video-editing capabilities
