Owner Communications Manager/Associate Manager | IHG Army Hotels

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

  • Collaborate with Operations and Development to maintain ‘One Version of Truth’ of master owner database and perform dimensional analysis, ensuring a unified view of the GC owner landscape.
  • Lead the GC Owner HeartBeat Survey, a comprehensive 360° analysis assessing sentiment across the corporation, functions, industry, and competitors.
  • Serve as a knowledge hub, offering key insights on the broader owner community, strategic owners, and critical business issues to support business priorities, growth, and performance.
  • Design and implement an annual communication plan, executing it effectively to engage relevant stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary contact with the China Owner Association (COA), maintaining healthy relations and representing IHG’s interests.

Key Metrics

Intelligence (10%)

  • Conduct the Owner HeartBeat Survey, overseeing all phases from initial planning through execution to analysis, while facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
  • Publish the Owner Movement Gazette to highlight key industry trends and their implications, as well as updates on strategic owners’ activities.

Relations (20%)

  • Facilitate China Owner Association (COA) meetings.
  • Coordinate and execute strategic owners’ engagements as required, tailored to specific business needs.
  • Maintain healthy relationships with cross-functional teams and stay informed about the business moves.

Communications (70%)

  • Produce quarterly CEO’s owner letter.
  • Develop IHG Focus, need-based communications addressing specific business-driven issues with owners.
  • Maintain critical communication tools and resources, including database upkeep, the APAC partners program, and ongoing maintenance of strategic owners’ profiles.

 

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.

 

Experience and Skills:

  • 5-8 years of professional experience.
  • Exceptional skills in time management, project management, and organization.
  • Strong ability to quickly grasp and address IHG’s business priorities, as well as the specific needs of hotels and owners, to create relevant content.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively and build strong relationships.
  • Familiarity with real estate/commercial/hospitality industry is preferred but not essential.
