We are seeking a dynamic Manager of User Experience (UX/UI) to assist in leading and elevating the user experience of our digital platforms, including mobile apps, websites, in-room tv, and the arrival departure experience. This role is crucial in our mission to provide our guests with unparalleled digital experiences, complementing the luxury and excitement they encounter at our physical destinations.

Based in Las Vegas or Remote, this leadership role will report to the Director of UX for the eCommerce & Digital Product teams and is responsible for 1) designing Caesars Entertainment e-commerce & digital hospitality products 2) leading the design and development of our design management system 3) coaching and mentoring a team of UX/UI designers 4) partnering with product, delivery, and engineering to lead UX/UI design processes to solve complex business problems. This is an opportunity within a cross-functional leadership team, primarily serving to uphold design excellence across several fully dedicated, digital software development teams. This role’s primary functions are to ensure that our e-commerce and digital experiences are: 1) modern 2) intuitive 3) engaging and 4) unparalleled in delivering hospitality and loyalty experiences with simplicity.

The ideal candidate has a proven track record of leading designers within organizations that deliver modern, immersive, and engaging digital experiences on app and web built with React.js, React Native, and React Native Web for Fortune 500 brands. A portfolio with UX artifacts and dynamic interactive experiences that leverage video, micro interactions, animations, gestures, and modern techniques that deliver engaging and rich interfaces is a must. The Manager of UX will facilitate the creation of design principles, standards, tooling, and patterns in contribution to a Figma Design Management System that can scale across all digital eCommerce channels: web/app/tv/kiosk; and all teams in the eCommerce & Hospitality Digital Products department. This leader must also excel at coaching and successfully mentor other UX Designers across our department.  This leader is also responsible for actively collaborating in our product & design community of practice – which include: 1) bi-weekly discussions, 2) reading/actively listening to associated books & podcasts, 3) consuming other forms of digital media, 4) leading/participating in conversations to build s high-performance culture.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. UX Strategist: Develop and implement a comprehensive experience design strategy for Caesars Entertainment’s digital platforms, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience
  2. Coach: Lead and mentor a talented team of UX/UI designers in creating innovative, user-centered designs
  3. Partner: Collaborate with various stakeholders including leadership, product managers/owners, software engineers, delivery leaders, and hospitality teams to integrate best practices into product development and enhancement
  4. Bet Maker: Validate product and design assumptions via research and usability testing to prove out that design decisions achieve our intended customer-impact
  5. Design Ops: Oversee the UX/UI design process, ensuring design, product and engineering are delivering via a consistent way of working that we continually improve with inspect and adapt principles 
  6. Community Leader: Stay abreast of the latest trends and technologies in UX design, advocating for the adoption of innovative practices and tools
  7. Storyteller: Effectively communicate UX visions and design rationales to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
  8. Culture Champion: Cultivate a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  9. Player/Coach: Serve as a hands-on player/coach to design user interfaces alongside our product teams
  10. Engaging Facilitator: Facilitate user experience activities including ideation workshops, competitor analysis, journey design, and accessibility audits to bring stakeholders and the product teams along in the process

Qualifications:                                                                                                                                                 

Experience:

  • 9 – 12 years of UX/UI professional experience in app and web experience design, with experience serving in leadership roles
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles and a track record of implementing these in a large-scale digital environment
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, motivation, and collaborative skills
  • Experience in the hospitality, entertainment, or related industry
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs and cross-functional teams
  • Maturity to lead open discussions and accept critical feedback as a ‘gift’, an opportunity for improvement

SOFTWARE & PORTFOLIO:

  • A strong portfolio showcasing expertise in UX design, particularly for high traffic and high-performance apps and websites, with dynamic experiences that purposefully render and leverage video, micro interactions, and modern motion techniques that deliver engaging and rich interfaces
  • Expert level of experience with Figma, Sketch, XD, Invision, Principle, or other prototyping design tools including pen and paper
  • Solid experience with the Adobe Create Suite 
  • Experience with Atlassian® Suite Application Lifecycle Management tools (Jira®, Confluence®, etc.)
  • Experience with Adobe Marketing Cloud®, Target®, and Analytics® or similar MarTech, nice to have

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Technical Training Equivalent
