Job Summary:

The Uniform Attendant is responsible for maintaining the impeccable presentation, cleanliness, and functionality of Guest clothing and colleagues’ uniforms. This role plays a vital part in upholding the colleague’s appearance consistent with the property style.  image of our hotel ensuring that our esteemed staff embodies the pinnacle of professionalism and elegance.

A little bit about your day:

Reporting to the Director of Housekeeping, every day is different, but you will mostly:

  • Promote Regent’s service philosophy and style through our people attributes. 
  • Maintain impeccable personal grooming standards to uphold the professional and property style of the hotel.
  • Arrive to laundry department in proper uniform following grooming standards
  • Attend daily Pre-shift meeting 
  • Collect and wear PPE (gloves, goggles, belt)
  • Oversee the distribution of clean and properly pressed uniforms to all staff members, ensuring they adhere to the hotel’s uniform standards.
  • Collaborate with department heads to ensure timely and accurate uniform issuance.
  • Use of InvoTech approach to collecting and inventorying used uniforms.
  • Unifor will be dropped off by the window at the uniform area
  • Uniform attendant will scan all used uniforms before uniform are forwarded to the laundry process
  • Scanned uniforms, will be inspected for damages and /or to prevent pens or other damaging items
  • Ensure to inspect uniforms for stains for a more specific cleaning treatment/ pre-spotting
  •  
  • Perform minor alterations or repairs on uniforms as needed to ensure a proper fit and excellent appearance.
  • Coordinate with a seamstress or external service for more extensive alterations.
  • Maintain a well-organized inventory of clean and ready-to-issue uniforms.
  • Report inventory levels to the housekeeping manager department to order new uniforms as needed.
  • Scanned uniform for cleaning purpose, check pockets to ensure no pen or other damaging items
  • Report any discrepancies or issues to the housekeeping managers.
  • Keep detailed records of uniform issuance and returns.
  • Reports as needed to track uniform utilization and identify any trends or issues.
  • Coordinate with the housekeeping department to ensure uniform requirements for each colleague’s member are communicated and met.
  • Communicate effectively with housekeeping managers and colleagues to understand their uniform-related needs.
  • Returned and scan all process uniforms to the respective slat the correspond to the specific colleague
  • Conduct regular inspections of uniforms to ensure they meet the Regent standards for cleanliness, presentation, and overall quality

What We need from you:

  • Minimum 2 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel preferred.
  • Essential verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel is preferred.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities and skills for taking initiative, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and prioritizing.
  • Knowledge of garment care, including proper handling and storage of uniforms.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to handle minor alterations or repairs on uniforms. 
  • Passionate about hospitality and providing an outstanding guest experience.
  • Carrying or lifting items weighing up to 50 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, stoop, and bend repetitively.
  • Flexible schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

What you can expect from us: 

The hourly pay range for this role is $24.84 to $31.05. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed at Regent Santa Monica Beach. This is the lowest to highest pay scale we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. A colleague’s pay position within the pay range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, and business or organizational needs.

Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company’s sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
