Your Day to Day: 

Role Purpose – 

Assist in the development and implementation of regional brand design initiatives for all Brands. Coordinate production of design materials and assist design manager with internal services, external agencies, and hotels for related FF&E projects.  

Essential Duties & Responsibilities – 

  • Assist in the development, sourcing and implementation of FF&E products. 
  • Work with vendors and agencies to develop specifications for each initiative, including but not limited to selection of target audience, creative approach, offer/ incentive, and production details; present materials/recommendations to the Manager for approval; implement approved initiatives. 
  • Ensure process flow and proper controls in place for accurate measurement and analysis of design solutions; present results and recommendations for next iteration to manager for approval. 
  • Manage day-to-day relationship with global and local design agency(s) and fulfillment vendor(s) in evaluating quality of production as well as cost and time efficiencies. 
  • Support manager with other brand design projects as necessary.

What We Need From You: 

Education – 

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.  

Experience – 

  • 3 to 5 years’ progressive experience in commercial interior design or architecture with demonstrated technical proficiency required for the position. 
  • Visual and verbal communication of creative designs. 
  • Hospitality design experience is preferred. 

Technical Skills & Knowledge – 

  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills. 
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing information to clients, design teams, vendors, management and staff. 
  • Good organizational and time management skills. 
  • Effective communications and interpersonal skills. 
  • General knowledge of hotel systems and operations is preferred. 
  • Demonstrated presentation and facilitation skills. 
  • Demonstrated ability to read and develop interior design, interior architecture and electrical drawings. 
  • Demonstrated ability to assemble and interpret design boards, specifications and provide free-hand sketches, interior layouts, and other drawings to clarify design intent. 
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCad, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, Bluebeam Revu, and specification programs required. 
  • Proficiency in 3D modeling/rendering software is preferred.
