The Opportunity:

The new Four Seasons Hotel Nashville seeks a Restaurant Supervisor to join our talented pre-opening team! Don't miss this unique opportunity to be part of the world's leading luxury hotel company!

Our Restaurant Concept:

Located on the ground floor of our beautiful 40-story building, guests will be welcomed into a space that is light, open, and refined. Contained within will be a full dining room with open kitchen, dazzling bar and lounge, and outdoor terrace seating with views of the Cumberland River. Setting the scene for an unparalleled dining experience, our restaurant will delight guests with Southern Italian fare with a focus on seafood and local Southern influences.

Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):

  • Assisting the Restaurant management team in the training, supervising, counselling.
  • Supervising the floor during meal periods to ensure that all standards and sequence of service are met through all the guest’s interactions.
  • Ensuring that checklist, requisitions, and proper opening and closing functions are being completed each shift.
  • Communicating effectively both verbally and in writing to provide clear direction to the staff.
  • Observing performance and encourage when necessary
  • Communicating with guest and employees using a positive voice. Listening to understand requests, responding with appropriate actions, and provide accurate information.
  • Remaining calm and alert especially during emergency situations, heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for the staff and other employees.
  • Organizing special events for the team such as receptions, team building, parties etc.
  • Maintaining rapport with all department and attend relevant meetings
  • Providing guidance toward improvement and make necessary adjustment for consistency
  • Moving throughout the facility and kitchen area (walk through) to visually monitor and take action to ensure food quality and service standard are met.
  • Ensuring that all the standards and hotel cash handling procedures are met.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the outlet daily.
  • Working closely with the Assistant/Manager in monthly inventory beverages, chinaware, glasses, silverware, and linen.
  • Assisting in planning and setting up special events Easter, Christmas, etc.
  • Ensuring maintenance of equipment by calling for repair and training staff on proper use.
  • Supporting the entire Food and Beverage operation including supervising other areas if necessary.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized work area

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a Food & Beverage related position, luxury environment or fine dining preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills. Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language; an additional language an asset
  • Must have a flexible schedule, ability to work early morning, afternoon, or evening shifts, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Requires ability to operate computer equipment and other Food & Beverage computer systems
  • Knowledge of the local Nashville area preferred
