Job Description

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategic

  1. Works with sales and marketing leadership as well as brand partners to maintain and manage the Caesars Entertainment brand for the business-to-business meetings segment.
  2. Annual active planning, purchasing, and contracting for all trade media including print and digital brand campaigns 
  3. Manages Meetings and Events social media strategy
  4. Maintains all information needed for press inquiries
  5. Builds and maintains a positive public image for Caesars Entertainment through tracking press coverage received in trade magazines, reach out to clients to get testimonials for marketing, communications (including social media, advertorials, internal and external messages, etc. and review and manage film requests. 

Tactical

  1. Promotes and maintains positive relations with colleagues, customers, partners, vendors and distributors.
  2. Serves as a project manager for all marketing projects by routing them through internal and vendor processes till the task is complete. 
  3. Consistently communicates with marketing leaders on project progress; discusses challenges and opportunities; proactively seeks out and accepts guidance and support.
  4. Responsible for writing content and press releases. Must be passionate about writing.
  5. Plans social media in conjunction with coordinator for meetings and events managed social channels. 
  6. Tracks press coverage received in trade magazines and on-line
  7. Reaches out to Clients to get testimonials for marketing use. 
  8. Projects include press event planning and media relations for the ESS meeting sales division
  9. Stays current with all Caesars Entertainment news and organizes the information so that the information is easily accessible to respond to press requests.
  10. Writes press releases, editorials and content for marketing team.
  11. Supports press events. 
  12. Develops and reviews external and internal communication. Can include eblast messaging, video scripts, advertorials, and internal memos.
  13. Provides b-roll and images to Convention clients as requested and reviewing requests to ensure assets will be used in accordance with brand standards.
  14. Proactively seeks out, initiates and undertakes opportunities for own learning, development and growth.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

The Marketing Specialist works with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill each task. She/He:

  • Responds to meetings and events trade press inquiries for information
  • Writes press releases and content for meeting and events marketing
  • Collaborates with vendors and with the internal clients to develop content and other needs. 
  • Event planning: Manages and coordinates all aspects for any given event including marketing sponsored events, Client events, etc. Coordinates logistical needs, reviews and applies branding opportunities, communications, can include working with travel team for booking flights etc. Travel may be required.
  • Endorses and adheres to the business objectives, ethics and values of the company and department.
  • Opens and tracks each task in Workfront and the in-house Studio system. Collaborates with the in-house creative studio team and or other creative vendors for new creative assets or images as needed.   
  • Coordinates design, content and development to meet all deadlines for projects. 
  • E-commerce: reviews and updates as needed all digital business-to-business channels such as CVENT and meetings related websites (i.e. CaesarsMeansBusiness.com, CAESARSFORUM.com, wedding microsite). 
  • Tradeshows and Special Events: supports the planning, organization and hosting of client/media FAMs and other events; Can include development of invitations, save-the-dates, reminder emails, other related customer communications, etc. 

OTHER DUTIES

  • Internal communications. 
  • On-boarding of new team members. 
  • Support, plan and execute events.
  • Entertain press
  • Travel occasionally to tradeshows or press events  
  • Create reports, spreadsheets, outlines, PowerPoint presentations, etc…as needed. 
  • Assist with internal and external requests for materials. 
  • Any other duties, as assigned.
