Fleet Manager – LV Regional Laundry – Full Time (Horseshoe LV) | Caesers

Job Description

This is a manager level position requiring extensive vehicle maintenance experience that will be responsible for overseeing a complete laundry fleet of single and dual axle tractors, trailers, box trucks, forklifts, scissor lifts and similar types of material transportation equipment in addition to the staff of drivers for the delivery fleet. This role has responsibility for ensuring safe and efficient operation of the transportation equipment including meeting all regulatory requirement. Candidate will also be responsible for accurate reporting of the department productivity using excel, word and any other reporting tools and timely completion of work assignments with a high level of productivity while maintaining high positivity in a fast-paced work environment. Job duties will include the following but will not be limited to:

  • Strong understanding of the commercial fleet equipment including but not limited to; single and dual axle tractors, trailers, box trucks, forklifts, scissor lifts and pallet jacks.
  • Candidate will oversee and facilitate equipment training ensuring all applicable team members meet Caesars high standards for safety.
  • Candidate shall possess strong troubleshooting skills for the fleet to resolve issues and malfunctions, correcting minor issues on sight or understanding when it becomes necessary to outsource repairs.
  • Candidate will have strong knowledge scheduling routes and deliveries to 11 or more properties in Southern Nevada including Laughlin on a daily basis ensuring staff is properly assigned to the correct functions to meet the demands of the daily orders.
  • Strong computer skills and software knowledge will be required. Position will be in periodic use of electronic MMS work order systems, and company specific programs.
  • Will be expected to observe and practice all safety requirements of Department of Transportation and all other applicable regulating agencies.
  • Must have a solid understanding of the regulatory requirements as applicable from OSHA, DOT, City of North Las Vegas, SNHD, EPA, NRS, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards and similar regulatory agencies.
  • Shall use small hand tools to perform various small repairs to trailers used for transport.
  • Candidate will be expected to demonstrate safe work practices with a solid understanding of safety requirements when working with commercial vehicles.
  • Candidate will be expected to oversee the team of union represented delivery drivers, manage schedules, establish routine PM scheduling and ensure all daily and weekly inspections are conducted efficiently and properly.
  • Will manage the random drug testing program requirements enforced on commercially licensed drivers.
  • Per OSHA guidelines, candidate must participate in all company provided safety training and follow all required safety guidelines and processes established in the department.
  • Should be able to communicate professionally in all email correspondence.
  • Will be required to hit deadlines and complete job tasks as set by leadership without direct monitoring or oversight. Additionally, candidate will oversee and delegate supervisory and lead level team members in their daily job duties and assignments.
  • Must be flexible to schedule additional hours if needed for assistance with various projects or onsite coverage.
  • Must have the ability to handle tools, supplies and equipment exceeding 50lbs, utilizing tool assistance as needed.
  • Will mentor and develop any entry level positions and own the responsibility of their exposure and progress if assigned.
  • Will support team compliance to company and department policies and procedures. Position may be required to issue discipline for violations to those procedures.
  • Position will interview potential candidates to join the team as deliver drivers with commercial drivers license.
  • Candidate will be able to drive vehicles personally for movement around the property or to perform troubleshooting. This will require a Commercial drivers license class A with a T endorsement.

Minimum Candidate Requirements

  • Class A driver license with a “T” endorsement
  • Strong computer skills (MS products including Excel)
  • Good communication skills (oral and written)
  • Must be Bi-Lingual to ensure strong communication and understanding with all employees. (English and Spanish)
