Public Affairs has primary responsibility for managing all aspects of the firm’s brand, communications to internal and external stakeholders, and setting the strategy for media relations.

The Public Affairs team is seeking an Analyst to support Blackstone’s firmwide public relations initiatives as well as serving as a generalist support across Blackstone’s businesses including, but not limited to Private Wealth Solutions, Private Equity, Credit, ESG and internal communications. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing firmwide messaging and strategies for the company and specific business units 

  • Drafting and coordinating press releases, media campaigns, and thought leadership

  • Supporting senior stakeholder staffing for media appearances and drafting briefing memos

  • Maintaining media databases and editorial calendars for the firm and businesses

  • Advising on portfolio companies’ public relations initiatives

  • Conducting due diligence research and media monitoring

  • Supporting various internal and external firmwide initiatives including, but not limited to, senior executive support, employee resource group communications, proactive planning and executive profile raising

                       

Qualifications:

Candidates should exhibit strong organizational and communications skills and an interest in public relations. Candidates should be self-motivated, confident, team-oriented individuals who work well in dynamic environments. Strong writing, analytical, research, evaluation and presentation skills are key, in addition to:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Well organized, self-starter with capability to work on multiple initiatives and prioritize

  • Strong interpersonal skills; experience working with key senior stakeholders

  • Strong judgement, storytelling and messaging skills

  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively

  • Familiarity with private equity

  • Microsoft Office skills (including PowerPoint, emphasis on Outlook and Excel)

Expected annual base salary range:

$75,000 – $110,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.

Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
