Job Description

OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for supporting and assisting the Director of Talent & Culture, overlooking functions of the Talent & Culture department, in accordance with hotel standards. Maintains a service and management philosophy which serves as a guide to all the respective associates.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Maintain complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies, service procedures and standards.
•Ensure that standards are maintained at a superior level on a daily basis.
•Review working papers to ensure that these are in compliance with legal requirements.
•Oversees the implementation of annual increases and other wage adjustments.
• Lead and develop a high-performing T&C team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive professional growth and development.
• Promote self-service T&C solutions to empower employees and managers and enhance the overall T&C service delivery model.
• Handle disciplinary problems and counsel associates.
•Oversee the administration of the performance appraisal program, ensuring that it serves its purpose as a gauge of personal performance for the period, and as a developmental tool.
•Ensure progressive discipline procedures; monitor compliance with such; conduct counseling sessions with associates; ensure documentation and placement of records in associates’ files.
•Complete and maintain current records on a competitive wage and benefit survey for all hotel positions.
•Ensure effective consultation with the legal counsel of the Hotel on all legal matters and requirements.
•All other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
•Experience:Minimum three years’ experience as a hotel/resort Talent & Culture Manager, preferably in a ultra-luxury properties.
•Education:College Degree.
•General Skills:Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand associate’s needs; work cohesively with associates as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
•Language: Required to speak, read and write English, with fluency in other languages preferred.
