Job Description

*****Starting Pay $15hr*****

 

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for total warehouse facility and represents the company locally.  Provides most economical warehousing and freight service commensurate with sales and company objectives and policies. 

 

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENTS: 21 years of age

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  1. Receives, stores and ships materials efficiently and according to schedule.
  2.  
  3. Maintains inventory control within levels prescribed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
  4.  
  5. Keeps the Warehouse Supervisor advised of status of the inventories and shipments.
  6.  
  7. Maintains warehouse and truck facilities in safe and operable condition.
  8.  
  9. Protects inventories against damage, deterioration and theft.
  10.  
  11. Suggests ways to improve the overall operation of the warehouse.
  12.  
  13. Responsible for making deliveries of items to the appropriate departments.
  14.  
  15. Responsible for ensuring that receiving reports and delivery tickets are filled out in a timely and accurate manner.
  16.  
  17. Assure exceptional customer service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

 

Physical – Must be able to:

 

  1. Be mobile in a restricted area.

 

  1. Stand, sit, bend and climb for long periods of time.

 

  1. Must be able to see.

 

  1. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.

 

  1. Must be able to hear.  Can be augmented with a hearing aid.

 

  1. Use the telephone to communicate during entire shift as needed.

 

  1. Must be able to drive a vehicle to make deliveries as needed.

 

  1. Climb stairs repeatedly.

 

Mental – Must be able to:

 

  1. Work accurately with basic math skills.

 

  1. Understand and comply with Policies and Procedures, job descriptions, daily memoranda and other written and verbal instructions.

 

  1. Write to complete daily reports.

 

  1. Read and understand in order to communicate with any staff,  customers, suppliers and carriers.

 

  1. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.

 

PREREQUISITES/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

 

High School graduate or GED equivalent preferred. At least one (1) year experience in a warehouse position preferred.

 

 

GAMING:

 

Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming  Board.
