Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for observing and reporting activities that occur on property in a clandestine manner via standard surveillance equipment.

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS: 

• Continuously observe activity concerning the security and welfare of casino operations

            and other operations as deemed appropriate by management. 

• Continuously sit and maneuver in confined area for up to 8-hours a day. 
• Must possess and maintain a high level of knowledge and proficiency of all policies

             and procedures governing gaming, money handling, security, and general property

             operations to include common cheating and theft methods as defined by the 

             operating procedures of the department as well as documented undesirable patrons and

            cheat information. 

• Report requested information and suspicious activity to management. 
• Report document findings from surveillance observations in a clear, concise and

            legible manner. 

• External reports may be completed as requested by Nevada Gaming Control Board,

            and Metro Police

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS: High school graduate or equivalent. Previous gaming surveillance experience preferred. Must have vision capabilities suitable for observing surveillance monitors continuously up to 8-hours. Must have good hearing. Gaming Card. Cannot be related to any employee of Harrah’s or Tropicana Laughlin required. Gaming License

PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS: Lift up to 10 lbs. Push and pull up to 10 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and hear. Dexterity to utilize tools. Walk up and down stairs. Type. Maneuver in confined spaces. Accurate Money/chip handling. Able to work in a dusty environment. Will have guest contact. Work flexible schedules. Understand, read, write, and speak English. Sit for long periods of time
