Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: The F&B Supervisor oversees the day-to-day activities of assigned F&B outlet and directly supervises all corresponding personnel. This responsibility encompasses profitability, employee relations and customer relations. Fast paced, high volume environment involving constant interaction with staff and public.  Shifts may vary based on business needs. Must be able to handle intoxicated guests in a professional manner. Must be able to tolerate secondary tobacco smoke.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  

  • Directly supervise all personnel and operations during assigned shifts.
  • Ensure all activities and job duties are performed according to established company and departmental policies, procedures, and goals.
  • Properly schedule employees in accordance with customer volumes.
  • Resolve customer claims or other disputes between subordinate employees in a fair and patient manner.
  • Seek ways in which to reduce departmental operating costs without affecting the quality of beverage or service.
  • Keep the Manager informed of all pertinent information and irregularities occurring in the Department.
  • Make sure prompt, courteous service is consistently provided to all customers and that employees conduct themselves in a professional manner at all times.
  • Interact effectively with all other departments.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:  

  • Work requires prior restaurant experience.
  • Work requires effective communication in English, both verbal and written form in a professional manner. 
  • Must present a neat and professional appearance.
  • Work requires interactions with customers, public and co-workers. 
  • Work requires schedule flexibility which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.
  • Health Card, Alcohol Awareness Card

 

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:  Lift up to 30lbs. Push and pull up to 150 lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, twist, reach, and hear. Dexterity to utilize tools. Walk entire shift. Stand for long periods of time or entire shift. Walk up and down stairs. Type. Work in hot temperatures. Work in cold temperatures. Work in Secondhand smoke environment. Maneuver in confined spaces. Accurate Money/chip handling. Tolerate high noise areas. Tolerate bright lights. Able to work in a dusty environment. Will have guest contact. Work flexible schedules. Work in outdoor weather conditions (hot/cold). Understand, read, write, and speak English.
