OPERATIONS

  • Complies with the instructions of their immediate superior regarding the duties and obligations assigned to them, verifying they have all the equipment and supplies required to perform their work and managing it appropriately to avoid waste and losses.
  • Collects crockery, glassware, plates and utensils for preparing food from the service areas and cleans them using detergents and applying the appropriate cleaning procedures before storing them in their assigned locations to be used again.
  • Cleans pots, ovens, hot plates, hoods, salamanders, grills, etc., using the defined procedures, always observing the safety measures and regulations designed to avoid the risk of accidents.
  • Cleans the assigned areas, such as floors, walls, doors, furniture, etc., complying with the highest standards of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Systematically collects all rubbish bins from the different sections, replacing them with clean bins with their respective bin bags and lids. Empties, inspects and classifies waste and washes the bins.
  • Handles all operating equipment with extreme caution during transportation to avoid accidents, spillage or breakages, complying at all times with safety regulations.
  • Implements all the instructions and work assigned to them by their immediate superior as well as the responsibilities the position requires.

CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

  • Be knowledgeable of the Brand philosophy and comply with the standards, operational and identity manuals that apply to their department.
  • Ensure the customer’s experience and personalise their stay, anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations.
  • Deal with customer incidents, communicating the actions taken to the person in charge. Escalate the incident to the person in charge if a solution cannot be found.
  • Be knowledgeable of the Voice of the Customer goals and to execute the necessary actions to achieve them.
  • Support their manager with the Sensory Architecture established for their areas.
  • Be knowledgeable and promote the hotel’s services and facilities as well as the entertainment programme, experiences and events.

HEALTH & SAFETY / HEALTHY WORKPLACE

  • Be knowledgeable of the hotel’s evacuation plan .
  • Be knowledgeable of the personal protective equipment and use it correctly.
  • Be knowledgeable of the methods, work procedures and risks inherent to their activity.
  • Assume the responsibilities assigned in the Occupational Health and Safety Management System Manual.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Knowledge of food handling, hygiene and food safety.
  • Own culinary knowledge, as well as knowledge of event organisation, decorations and presentation of buffet set-ups.
  • Keeping up to date with kitchen trends
  • Hygienic food handling and management.
  • Proficient in Office package and tools related to the position.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations
  • Ability to teach and transmit knowledge, experience in managing staff.
  • Advanced level in English or French required, knowledge of Spanish is considered an asset
