PRIMARY PURPOSE:

The Sr. Creative Director leads the campaign and advertising creative development, art direction and copywriting from ideation through execution in all channels including video, digital, print, OOH, social, and email. As a strategically-minded and seasoned hands-on leader, they inspire excellence and elevate creative standards while managing a team of Art Directors, Copywriters, and email Designers. Working closely with creative department leaders, strategy partners, and stakeholders throughout the company, this role plays a pivotal part in providing visionary creative leadership, best practices guidance and innovative fulfillment of marketing objectives by any 360 degree-marketing means necessary.

  • Solving complex marketing & campaign assignments with solutions that are high-impact, culturally relevant, and meet best-in-class standards and results while scalable in terms of team and production resources.
  • Demonstrating a deep, expert-level of craft knowledge in all creative mediums commonly part of 360 degree campaigns — video, digital design, email, print design, and more as well as all associated platforms (social media, broadcast, digital media, etc.).
  • Lead and mentor all levels of team members with industry best practices and methodology. Able to easily step in and work closely with Art Directors and Copywriters providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and inspiration to foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and growth.
  • Assess project briefs, objectives, and strategic needs before assigning offering counsel and operational proposals. Leads discussions and guides stakeholders through creative production proposals and processes with confidence and positivity.
  • Ensures proper resourcing of their team, working closely with other Creative Directors, Project Management leads and Producers to ensure the correct team members are assigned jobs with adequate support and planning.
  • Champion the use of strategic insights and research to inform the creative process and improve campaign effectiveness, embracing and proposing new and emerging innovation points for all creative.
  • Collaborates effectively, often working under time pressure, to deliver success for any objective or intiative assigned to themselves, their team, or the department as a whole. Often present and pitch creative concepts to stakeholders across the company, building strong relationships and providing compelling rationale for creative decisions.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Graphic Design, Interactive Media, Digital Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience in a creative studio, agency, in-house creative, or similar.
  • Portfolio of works demonstrating advertising campaigns of varying size and complexity incorporating various channels and formats including video, print, social, and digital.
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills.
  • Proven track record of leading teams, concepting work, and pitching projects with confidence and working closely with senior leaders within aligning marketing and production departments. Expert-level capability in the Adobe Creative Suite.
