THE JOB:

The SHOW comes alive at MGM Resorts International. As a Specialty Sous Chef, you will be responsible for setting the stage for an excellent guest experience. Using your culinary techniques, you will provide high-quality food to guests from all over. In your role, you will partner with front-of-house staff to create WOW memories the guests will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.

  • Work with a diverse team of enthusiastic people in a FUN and fast-paced environment to achieve company goals
  • Show your culinary passion by crafting various menu items while following set recipes and standards
  • Supervise the food preparation of line cooks while monitoring guest flow and estimating daily food requirements
  • Conduct employee evaluations and address attendance records while maintaining communication with the restaurant’s service team on menu related matters.
  • Engage with guests and employees by smiling and hearing their story
  • Ensure guest safety by supervising proper food handling procedures

A GREAT CANDIDATE:

  • Two (2) years of food production experience in a restaurant environment
  • Associates degree in culinary arts or equivalent work experience
  • Working knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Has high energy and positive attitude
  • Has strong communication skills
  • Has strong knowledge of standard kitchen equipment
  • Has strong knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques
  • Has strong knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • Can handle multiple tasks at one time
  • Can maintain knowledge of menu items
  • Has high attention to detail
