THE JOB:

As a Group Dining & Events Specialist, you will be responsible for developing relationships and securing business with key clients with an emphasis on conventions and social business.  You will also set the stage for guest experience with your welcoming smile and service. By understanding their unique stories and needs, you will own their experience to create WOW memories they will carry with them far and beyond their stay with us.
 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

• Handle multiple concurrent contract negotiations in order to maximize volume, revenue and profit

• Detail every aspect of a group booking, coordinate the details within each department and act as point person for the client

• Professionally represent the property during site inspections, client entertaining, trade shows, presentations and offsite events

• Actively solicit new business, contact prospective clients via phone, email, letter etc. to identify and procure business opportunities in order to maximize volume, revenue and profit

• Achieve monthly individual and team revenue goals

• Perform site tours for prospective clients and conduct pre-event and post event meetings with clients

• Develop F&B minimums and space availability that are competitive and offer highest yield for the hotel to ensure maximum profitability

• Develop proposals, menus and group events orders, and negotiate business terms of contracts

• Work closely with venues operations and culinary teams to ensure proper event execution
