OVERVIEW/BASIC FUNCTION:
Responsible for the supervision of the Spa team and assisting management in training, counseling, motivating and coaching all spas associates; serves as a role model.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Utilizing interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others; demonstrating honesty/integrity; leads by example.
• Encourage and build mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.
• Serve as a role-model to demonstrate appropriate behavior.
• Train staff on treatment protocols and product knowledge.
• Provide guidance and setting and monitoring performance standards.
• Coach and develop team members by creating expectations for continual improvement, providing challenging tasks and assignments, holding development discussions, and constructing and executing development plans.
• Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene of self and team members as per grooming standards.
• Responsible for the upkeep of dispensary, therapists break room, linen storage and treatment rooms
• Have full knowledge of all spa services, salon services and retail products. Recognize the importance of sales in all aspects of role.
• Prepare reports as required and handle Oasys procedures.
• Conduct and take part in walk through for evaluation or informational purposes.
• Follow company and department safety and security policies and procedures to ensure a clean, safe and secure environment.
• Ensure a comfortable work environment for treatment providers and guests
• Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
• Answer telephones using appropriate etiquette
• To attend all mandatory meetings as directed
• Handle emergencies that arise when on duty alone, notifying appropriate personnel
• Provide superior service to our customers (internal and external) at all times.
• Carry out any additional duties and tasks when requested
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience: Minimum 2 years’ experience in a luxury spa environment, preferably within a luxury hotel.
• Education: High school diploma. Diploma or degree in a related field.
• General Skills: Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and
accuracy; prioritize, organize and follow-up; be a clear thinker, remaining calm and resolving problems, using good judgment; follow directions thoroughly; understand a guest’s service needs; work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team; work with minimal supervision; maintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data.
