Job Description

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Assist the Area Wine Director and wine team in monitoring all wine and beverage related matters
  • Serve wine orders in a professional manner following the hotel standard procedures
  • Responsible for the recommendation and sales of wines and other beverages to guests
  • Carry out monthly stock control, inventory. Update continuously all stock forms
  • Assist in the floor operations of the outlet


  • Minimum 4-5 years’ relevant working experience in a sizeable luxury hotel as sommelier, with at least 2 years in similar capacity
  • Good in English, Putonghua and Cantonese is advantage
  • Excellent food and beverage knowledge
  • High standards of professional manner with exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem solving skills 
  • Holder of WSET Certificate is preferred. With strong knowledge in beverage
