Job Description
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Assist the Area Wine Director and wine team in monitoring all wine and beverage related matters
- Serve wine orders in a professional manner following the hotel standard procedures
- Responsible for the recommendation and sales of wines and other beverages to guests
- Carry out monthly stock control, inventory. Update continuously all stock forms
- Assist in the floor operations of the outlet
Requirements
- Minimum 4-5 years’ relevant working experience in a sizeable luxury hotel as sommelier, with at least 2 years in similar capacity
- Good in English, Putonghua and Cantonese is advantage
- Excellent food and beverage knowledge
- High standards of professional manner with exceptional communication, presentation, interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Holder of WSET Certificate is preferred. With strong knowledge in beverage
