Senior Groups & Events Sales Executive

 

Mission: Responsible for the quotation and contracting of the leads (excl. social events) that are generated for hotels in the Sales Area, regardless of the channel in which they are received (online, offline, centralized or direct) and supporting Head of G&E Sales with specified tasks.  

 

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

·         Support the Head of G&E Sales in the production of the MICE segment sales strategy for hotels in the area, in order to meet the objectives defined in each hotel’s Business Plan.

·         Achieve and/or exceed the budget approved annually in the Business Plan (MICE segment) of hotels in the Cluster/Sales Area, both for the sale of rooms and in ARR through the increase in the number of accounts/events, as well as in the sale of banqueting rooms, banquets, audios and other MICE-related revenues.

·         Review and ensure that the negotiations, contracts with customers and credit policies of the groups/leads they are managing are carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures established by MHI.

·         Able to negotiate with customers for the assigned leads in order to obtain the most benefit based on the Business Plan and strategy defined for all hotels in the MICE segment area.

·         Monitors and complies with the MICE pricing and segmentation strategy previously defined between Sales and Revenue in the area. In the absence of HOD, actively participate in daily revenue meetings in which they are required to collate group rates and conditions of sale of the groups.

·         Manage inbox, in lieu of the Head of Group and Events, allocating enquiries to all team members, ensuring workload is spread evenly, maximising resources and priorities.

·         Assist HOD with weekly reporting on deposit tracker. Hold team accountable for posting deposits or taking payments for those still outstanding. Additionally, assist with other reporting that helps to make commercial decisions to maximize revenue (Focus proposal status, activities, decision dates, input correction and others).

·       Be knowledgeable of the Brand philosophy and ensure the customer’s experience while personalizing their stay, anticipating their needs and exceeding their expectations.

 

What we are looking for?

·         University Degree or higher education award in Tourism, Business.

·         Fluency in English and an additional language would be a benefit

·         Knowledge of group operation and event coordination.

·         Organised, proactive and ability to work as part of a team.

·         Experience of reporting, analysing and interpreting data (desirable)

·         Opera and FOCUS Knowledge

·         Professional use of Office and Outlook.

 

The successful candidate must already have eligibility to work in the UK.
