Job Description

SUMMARY: Oversee all security operations, and make daily decisions on general operation of the facility to ensure a safe environment for all crewmembers and guests. Assist guests in every way possible in order to achieve the highest level of guest satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
•   Oversee all security operations throughout shift while on property.
•   Ensure that all procedures are being followed by Security Shift Mgrs, Shift Supervisors, 
    and officers as outlined in the Internal Controls, Key Controls, underage prevention and
    standard operating procedures (S.O.P’s).
•   Provide training for the security department.
•   Monitor and order all sensitive/restricted keys on property and conduct monthly audit of
     keys. 
•   Prepare quarterly training for the department on Internal Controls, underage, key 
    controls. 
•   Assist in emergency situations, such as disorderly patrons and medical emergencies while 
    on shift.
•   Assist casino management in case of trouble at gaming tables.
•   Provide input on security issues, such as emergency preparedness and internal controls,
    to the Director of Security.
•   Review security reports and forward to appropriate locations.
•   Disseminate information to Director of Security.
•   Evaluate security officers, Shift Supervisor’s/Shift Manager’s performance, take 
    appropriate disciplinary action, investigate complaints, investigate violations of company
    policies and procedures and gaming laws, and write detailed reports.
•   Ensure that all emergency equipment is in working order.
•   Testify in court on behalf of company/casino as needed.
•   Interview applicants for security officer: make recommendations for hiring, promoting,
    and terminating security employees.
•   Act as interdepartmental liaison during shift.
•   Act as departmental liaison between company and local police department.
•   Exclude patrons from property when appropriate, monitor patrons for intoxication, 
    unusual occurrences, and take appropriate action when necessary.
•   Comply with all Internal Controls, Company and departmental policies and procedures 
    and safety regulations.
•   Employees may be required to perform duties outside of their normal job description
    where, in the Company’s judgment, it is necessary in the interest of efficiency, 
    productivity or improved guest service.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES  
Directly supervises Security Supervisors, Security Leads, and Security Officers.

QUALIFICATIONS  
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. 
All Employees must be knowledgeable to all Company policies and procedures, including fire and safety regulations.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE 
Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two year college or technical school; or six months to one year gaming experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Must have knowledge of Nevada State Regulations and Internal Controls.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS 
Must be able to obtain a Gaming License.  Must have a valid Driver’s License.

LANGUAGE SKILLS 
Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS 
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  

COMPUTER SKILLS
Basic knowledge of computers required.  Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office.
