THE JOB:

An Assistant Shift Security Manager is responsible for overseeing security officers and support staff, managing department operations, and ensuring adherence to approved procedures and policies. You'll be responsible for promoting a safe environment for guests and employees, enforcing regulations, and acting as a liaison during security incidents. Additionally, you'll assist in onsite investigations, monitor security-related processes, and promptly address guest and employee concerns or emergencies while ensuring proper documentation and escalation procedures are followed.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Staff Coordination and Deployment: Assigning duties, managing schedules, and ensuring adequate coverage to maintain security operations.
  • Security Monitoring and Incident Response: Overseeing security checks, monitoring surveillance systems, and responding promptly to incidents or emergencies as they arise.
  • Communication and Reporting: Maintaining clear communication with security personnel, management, and relevant stakeholders, as well as documenting incidents and preparing reports.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Inspections: Ensuring the functionality of security equipment such as alarms, cameras, and access control systems, and conducting regular inspections to identify any issues.
  • Training and Development: Providing training and guidance to security staff, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement to enhance the effectiveness of the security team.

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Driver’s License

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • At least 21 years old
  • 2+ years of previous Security experience
  • Flexible schedule to include varied shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Excellent leadership skills

  • Has a customer centric approach.
  • Excellent problem solver who demonstrates composure under pressure.
