THE JOB:

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Dining Room Runner to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless service by expediting food from the kitchen to the table, describing dishes to guests, and maintaining a clean and organized dining area.

THE DAY TO DAY:

  • Greet guests in a positive and friendly manner, creating a welcoming atmosphere.

  • Expedite food from the kitchen to the table according to the sequence of service and Chef's instructions.

  • Describe food to guests upon placement on the table, addressing any questions about the dishes.

  • Communicate menu features, including changes and additions, as required.

  • Collaborate with the kitchen expediter to ensure accurate delivery of food to the correct table and position.

  • Perform assigned opening and closing side-work to contribute to the smooth operation of the dining room.

  • Communicate guest needs to the kitchen and management, providing feedback on guest reactions and comments.

  • Assist management in maintaining a high standard of service and resolving any issues that may arise.

  • Regularly check the dining area, tables, and chairs for cleanliness, and maintain a tidy and organized station and service area

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

  • Positive attitude and a passion for providing excellent customer service.

  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
