THE JOB:

The primary responsibilities of the Room Reservations Clerk are to coordinate appropriate accommodation arrangements for VIP guests, groups, and wholesale bookings. All duties must be carried out in accordance with departmental policies, practices, and procedures.

THE STARTING RATE: $19.12/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Analyzes casino play and establishes comp profiles for guest reservations.

  • Processes all reservations and requests from guests, hosts, executives, Sales Department, and branch offices.

  • Assists casino hosts and executives with reservations, requests for information, etc.

  • Receives in-bound calls in response to various mailings and invitations. Books Slot Tournament reservations, Direct Marketing Packages, etc.

  • Act as a liaison between the reservations department and meeting planners or wholesale companies regarding questions pertaining to their specific groups.

  • Communicate effectively with Convention Sales and Service Managers regarding room blocks which are set aside for companies holding meetings in the hotel, including the number of rooms the group has utilized and what is remaining for them to pick up.

  • Communicate effectively with Leisure Sales regarding wholesale room blocks set aside for tour operators to sell as packages.

  • Monitor cutoff dates to prevent convention groups from booking at their convention rate, and group blocks effectively.

  • Review details of the convention booking recaps, such as group arrival and departure dates, number of rooms the group will hold and their rate to ensure all pertinent information is in the computer system.

 THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Previous customer service experience working in similar call center/administrative role.

  • Prior experience in a similar resort setting.

  • Prior experience working with hotel software systems such as Opera, ICE, etc.

  • Comfortable with using Microsoft programs and various duties associated with computer programs and multi-line telephone systems.

  • Able to obtain gaming license as required.

  • Available for flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

 MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
