Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

TheRetail Sales Clerk provides excellent customer service and actively promotesthe selling of merchandise, operates a cash register and handles all paymenttransactions for purchase.  The RetailSales Clerk receives, unpacks, folds and puts away the daily deliveries ofmerchandise. 

 

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Greetsall internal and external guests using Spotlight initiatives to providefriendly, courteous, excellent service.

Demonstratesa pleasant and enthusiastic demeanor at all times.

Maintainsawareness/security of retail floor, products, services and guests.

Assistscustomers and guests providing information about retail outlet, merchandise andproperty events, promotions, restaurants and/or hotel amenities.

Encouragesmultiple sales by offering additional/complimentary products and/or services.

Performsretail cashier duties and accurately maintains accompanying paperwork.

Balancesall monies at end of shift.

Maintainsgeneral housekeeping duties, ensuring the clean, neat and professionalappearance of the outlet and its merchandise.

Responsiblefor answering the phone and assisting caller including transfers to appropriateextension, answering questions, providing information etc.

Regularlyprovides feedback and information to Shift Supervisor regarding inventorylevels of merchandise, customer feedback/perceptions.

Re-stocksmerchandise as directed.

Performsall duties in any/all retail outlets as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

HighSchool Diploma or equivalent preferred

Oneyear in retail sales or equivalent experience preferred

Mustpass pre-employment Math test with score of 80% or better.  20 problem minimum

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Literateand fluent in basic English

Goodmath skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing

Excellentguest service skills

Beknowledgeable about the Total Rewards program and hotel/casino amenities

Abilityto uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations andrecognize standards required by a regulated business

Actsas a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a creditto Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same

PHYSICAL, MENTAL and ENVIRONMENTALDEMANDS:

Abilityto bend, crouch, turn, and reach overhead.

Abilityto respond to visual and verbal cues

Manualdexterity to operate office equipment and cash registers

Abilityto stand on hard floors

Mobilityto move about the work area

Abilityto lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds

Mustbe able to lift overhead and climb a ladder for stocking purposes

 

Positionsthat have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy 
environment, and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.  Also, non-public contact positions may berequired to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with theirduties, and may be subject to the same environment.
