InterContinental Wellington is looking for a Reservations Manager to join our team and work closely with the both the Front Office & Commercial team.

Your day to day

The Reservations Manager is responsible for the team that looks after all FIT reservations and group enquiries and support the department in achieving targets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Support the revenue and sales teams in hotel inventory management
  • Provide current information on the internal reservation situation and the external operating climate
  • Build strong relationships with our regular groups clients
  • Conduct yield management and actively contribute towards revenue generation through effective management of the reservations department
  • Support the reservations team to provide a seamless reservations experience to our guests
  • Coach and mentor our reservations team members to support their ongoing development

What we need from you

  • Requirement of at least 3 years’ experience in reservations, hotel front office operations.
  • Strong administration skills
  • Work well as part of a team and an ability to lead the team
  • Previous experience working in a hotel environment
  • Experience using a property management system such as Opera
  • A relevant qualification at level 4 or above. 
  • Confidence in your communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and colleagues
