Job Description

Role Purpose

The Associate Data Analyst supports the acquisition of data from primary and/or secondary data sources and integrating the data into the ecosystem. The Associate Data Analyst supports the design of data solutions for the collection, tracking, and reporting of data, as appropriate for the position.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support the mapping and tracing of data from system to system to solve a given business or system problem
  • Identify trends or patterns in complex data sets
  • Assist in the recognition and resolution of problems/inconsistencies in reports, data and analytic solutions

Key Skills & Experiences

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Experience

  • Typically up to 3 years of progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines, technologies, or processes related to the position.

Technical Skills and Knowledge

  • Foundational knowledge of data models, database design development, data mining and segmentation techniques
  • Foundational knowledge with reporting packages (Business Objects, Tableau, etc.), database query tools (i.e., SQL)
  • Familiarity with programming concepts (XML, JavaScript, or ETL frameworks)
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to gather, interpret and translate business logic into data solutions.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Proficient oral and written communication skills including active listening. Asking appropriate questions, clarifying information and writing clear, concise documents.
  • Able to create data visualizations to convey findings
  • Able to confidently utilize MS Word, MS Excel, MS SharePoint & MS Visio.
  • The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality.
