The Payroll Processor performs the full cycle of payroll processing for the Loews Hotels & Co. The responsibilities include checking and auditing of timekeeping data in relation to established standard processes as set forth in the Loews Hotels & Co.  Payroll Services policies and Met Forms. The Payroll Processor reports to the Senior Payroll Manager. 

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Checks and audits Team Member timekeeping and pay data records in accord with Loews Hotels & Co.  Payroll Services policies and Met Forms to generate pay data for the scheduled pay periods
  • Ensures all Team Member pays they are processing for are accurate and follow the applicable Federal, State and Local labor laws
  • Ensures all hours and earnings are balanced with control documents
  • Ensures deductions are properly calculated and reported on to stakeholders
  • Reviews and processes electronic documents for the assigned properties as received
  • Resolves and documents any errors received pre and post transmission of data to payroll system
  • Complete US audit preparation form for the pay groups that have been assigned within the guidelines
  • Processes any stop payments or void payments in the payroll system
  • Processes any wage garnishment requests or inquiries received
  • Provides phone/email support to team members regarding inquiries and discrepancies
  • Resolves any errors received as they pertain to their assigned pay group
  • Any additional duties as assigned by Senior Payroll Manager
  • Answers all incoming email, mail and phone requests to the payroll department
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect business needs of the BSC
  • Regular attendance in conformance with standards

  • Ability to organize workload, adapt quickly to change, and deliver under the pressure of deadlines
  • Ability to perform both standard and intermediate spreadsheet functions using Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in windows-based computer programs to include e-mail, internet and word processing applications
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new computer applications
  • General knowledge of mathematics and accounting principles

Education

  • High School graduate or equivalent
  • Associates Degree in General Business Administration, Human Resources or Accounting preferred

Experience

  • Two years (2) related experience in a computerized accounting environment in a clerical role with a preference in payroll processing and timekeeping
