Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and energetic Pastry – Sous Chef to join Rosewood Schloss Fuschl.

Job Summary:

  • preparing and supervising the daily mise en place and ensuring that all departments are supplied with fresh and high quality products based on the expected volume of business.   
  • you will be responsible for the training of new colleagues, apprentices and their development, leadership and motivation
  • consistent adherence to established standards throughout the department through role modelling and quality control.
  • supervision of preparations, cooking times and presentation of dishes by the Chef de Parties, the Demi Chef de Parties and the Commis Chefs.
  • in the absence of the Executive Chef, you are responsible for the independent and autonomous management of the kitchen team and take care of all administrative agendas

Required skills:

  • you have completed vocational training and already have several years of professional experience
  • you have an open-minded personality and the satisfaction of your team and our guests is particularly important to you
  • you are passionate about your job, which is reflected in the quality of your work and your style
  • you are very familiar with Austrian hygiene standards
  • you have very good communication skills in German & English
