Operations Intern – SEAK | IHG Army Hotels

Job Description

Role Purpose

To provide support across a range of operational activities by working closely with the Operations team based out of the Singapore Support centre as well as liaising with the Multi Unit Leaders and the Central Performance Delivery team across Southeast Asia & Korea (SEAK) estate to assist the Operations team achieve its business objectives.

Key Accountabilities

Assist with the preparation of materials and analysis required to put together long-term vision and re-positioning documents across SEAK estate:

• Support in the implementation of specific operational projects (e.g. SOP)

• Support the implementation of a strong loyalty culture across SEAK estate

• Research emerging industry trends, and support development and implementation of internal process improvement initiatives across SEAK estate

• Perform administrative duties as requested

Key Skills & Experiences

Education: Undergraduate in Business Management or Hospitality, preferably in their final year of undergrad studies

Experience: Prior internship experience within another Hotel Management Company

Technical Skills and Knowledge:

• Desire to learn and be challenged to learn new skills

• Conscientious with an eye for details

• Proactive and works with a sense of purpose and urgency

• Ability to work on projects independently

• Confidence in generating new ideas or ways to approach work assigned

• Good project management skills, detail oriented and communicates progress

• Strong verbal and written communication skills and a Team Player

• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word applications

• Preferable: Knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite
