This is your chance to be part of our in-house Hilton Supply Management (HSM) team that supports our brands, owners, and operators! As a Food & Beverage Category Manager, you will support the team by partnering with our Brands and helping influence and guide programs with unique and distinctive products and services.  On the Food & Beverage Category Management team reporting to the Director of Food & Beverage Category Management, you will work on projects including Building New Supplier Relationships, Performing Category Analyses & Request for Proposals (RFPs), Brand-Approved Product Updates & Launches, Product Performance Reporting, and Sourcing Process Improvements.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Your role is important and below are some of the fundamental job duties that make your work unique.

What your day-to-day will be like:

  • Oversee sourcing initiatives including, but not limited to: Product Sample Reviews, Market Data Analysis, Program Inventory Management, Contracting with Suppliers, Product Performance Analysis, and New Item Launches
  • Build and execute Category and Supplier Management strategies designed to deliver quality products for Hotels delivered by our Approved Suppliers at the best value, while meeting Hilton and HSM standards and operating procedures, and ensuring continuous supply

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Liaise between Suppliers and Hilton Internal Customers to lead product changes, summarize the status of projects, and communicate relevant recommendations and next steps with all parties
  • Attend weekly and bi-weekly meetings with Suppliers and Stakeholders to ensure the success of your Projects and Categories
  • Engage with Support Teams across HSM to ensure proper data entry in forms & systems, collaborate on building supplier programs, and attending meetings & trainings to ensure all HSM processes are understood and being followed

What projects you will take ownership of:

  • Managing all Supplier Relationships under your purview – Balancing Existing and Potential New Relationships – to ensure the best quality and value to our Customers
  • Supporting Brand (or other Customer) Projects such as new Breakfast Launches, Menu Development, Retail Planogram Updates, etc.

WHY YOU’LL BE A GREAT FIT

You have these minimum qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of professional experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain management, contract management, food & beverage, hospitality, or similar field
  • Two (2) years of experience taking data from multiple sources and analyzing to draw actionable conclusions.
  • Two (2) years of experience working in Purchasing, Reporting, and/or Contracting Systems & Applications
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivots, VLOOKUPS, data manipulation)
  • Travel up to 20%

It would be useful if you have:

  • Seven (7) years of professional work experience, especially in relevant fields
  • Experience working with Coupa, Tableau, Salesforce, Birchstreet, or other similar systems
  • Strong Project Management skills
