To begin in 2024, Rosewood Amsterdam is currently seeking a motivated and dynamic Manager – Stewarding who is a well-rounded and seasoned individual to be part of our team.
Job Summary
The Manager – Stewarding will manage the Stewarding team to ensure high standards of cleaning and sanitation as well as assist with the smooth running of the kitchens and the restaurants. Model the company’s culture, vision, mission, and core values at all times.
  • Organize the Stewarding team to ensure that cleaning tasks are taken care of in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure that all cleaning equipment and tools including dishwashers, hand wash stations and pot wash stations are maintained in a proper way and provide training if needed.
  • Ensure that all the kitchens and restaurants have enough tools and equipment to perform their work in an optimal way.
  • Monitor the level of cleaning equipment, tools and chemicals and order accordingly.
  • Perform other reasonable duties according to the business level and operation hours.
  • Ensure that all the Stewarding team is following Health & Safety standards.
  • Monitor and conduct inspection of the cleaning of all Back of House areas including kitchens, washing areas, corridors, fridges, waste room and store at all times.
  • Ensure equipment is stored properly in order to keep breakages down to a minimum.
  • Ensure the Stewarding team follow the recycling procedures including the disposal of broken bottles and glasses in the proper containers.
  • Provide all kitchens and outlets with needed items following the hotel’s procedures.
  • Attend daily chef’s briefings.
  • Assess the performance of all the Stewarding team and provide feedback and training accordingly.
  • Ensure the hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counselling, motivating, disciplining and coaching associates.
  • Complete all required tasks including associates scheduling, payroll management, manning schedule, ordering of new equipment, agency timesheet, waste management, fridges cleaning and temperature recording.
  • Prepare of all Stewarding associates performance reviews.
  • Oversee punctuality and appearance, making sure that all the Stewarding team wears the correct uniform and PPE and maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene, according to the hotel and department’s grooming standards.
  • Previous experience in a hotel’s Food and Beverage operations or freestanding lifestyle restaurant
  • Trained with relevant experiences preferred
  • Fluent spoken and written in English  and Dutch
