Job Description

Overview: The role is responsible for the strategic approach to soliciting new and existing customer relationships and accounts, including retail travel agencies, consortium partners, wholesalers, and receptive tour operators, to maximize revenue generation. The position reports to the Director of Leisure Sales and works closely with the resort’s marketing team and Rosewood’s Global Sales organization to ensure that the leisure sales strategy is aligned with the business needs of the resort.

Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years of sales experience in a related position in luxury hotel sales, preferably for a Forbes 5-Star property.
  • Advanced in all computer applications and soft wear applications. Proven skills in office management, including excellent telephone and writing skills for full and effective communication.
  • Track record of driving sales revenues by executing strategic plans and building engaging relationships.
  • Demonstrate analytical skills to support building tactical actions and objectively communicating learnings to senior leadership.
  • Comfortable and proficient using a variety of current communication vehicles with strong follow-up to include letter writing, email, letters, filing, data entry, and organization of the back office.
  • Must have the ability to provide the highest level of customer service in the industry, work well as a team player, and always with full transparency.
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized with a strong ability to multi-task.
  • Follows directives and completes tasks on or ahead of established timelines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills are required.

Essential Job Functions: Collaboration with Marketing and Event Programming to create the following:

  • Exceed annual room night and revenue goal for the leisure transient market segment.
  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic business plans, including travel plans, promotional opportunities, client engagements, and other activities related to driving revenue for the leisure segment.
  • Prospect and develop new accounts to generate business opportunities and support growing market share.
  • Establish and maintain engaging relationships through ongoing communication focusing on the Rosewood Elite program, Virtuoso, American Express Fine Hotels & Resorts, and other consortiums.
  • Travel to meet and develop client relationships, including tradeshow participation, FAM trips, in-market actions, and training.
  • Monitor implementation of packages and offers while partnering with marketing and revenue teams to optimize reach to leisure market audiences.
  • Host and direct on-property site inspections, Discovery tours, and FAM trips.
  • Effectively cross-sell all Resort outlets and revenue-generating centers.

Travel Requirements:

  • Travel throughout the United States and internationally to promote Rosewood Miramar Beach to travel industry partners.
  • 25% of time expected for travel.
The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000. This is the pay range for this position that the Hotel reasonably expects to pay. This position also may be eligible for bonuses. Decisions regarding individual salaries will be based on a number of factors, such as experience, type of hotel experience, location, and education.
