Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for performing a variety of Laundry functions including sorting and folding while ensuring products leave the facility in a timely manner with quantity and quality

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

Counts items for the day and inventories outgoing items.

Removes all foreign materials from linen and uniforms, including personal clothing or articles, silverware and trash.

Disposesof foreign materials in accordance with established procedures.

Sorts soiled laundry based on type & color of item and degree of soil.

Feeds sheets, pillowslips, napkins and table linen into folder and ironer equipment.

Pressesselect articles using appropriate equipment.

Inspectsfinished items for quality control, ensuring standards are met and maintained.

Maintainsflow rack, including tying bundles, loading trays, stacking bundles andcounting.

Loadsfolded linen into bins and hangs garments on racks.

Completesall necessary paperwork in a timely manner.

Alwaysmaintains work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.

Sorts,hand folds and stacks on the conveyor system bathmats, washcloths and saunatowels.

Sorts,feeds towel machine and stacks linen on conveyor system.

Foldsand stacks in bins all miscellaneous items including rugs, bedspreads andshower curtains.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

Highschool graduate or equivalent preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previousexperience in a laundry position with at least 6 months experience preferred

Abilityto add, subtract, multiply, divide, and count to 50

TeamPlayer with a strong commitment to success and great communication skills andcustomer service skills to collaborate effectively with other team members andleadership

Comprehensionskills with the ability to speak and understand basic English and ability tounderstand and adhere to policies, procedures, and safety guidelines

Abilityto uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations andrecognize standards required by a regulated business

Actsas a role model to other Team Members and always presents oneself as a creditto Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.  Adheres to all regulatory, company anddepartment policies and procedures

PHYSICAL, MENTAL andENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Sortingarea – Ability to unload trailer and push/pull up to 900lbs of dirty linen

Tiearea (Shipping) – Ability to load the trailers with 900 -1,000lbs of linen

Terryarea – Ability to separate and feed terry to machine or fold/stack and place onconveyer. Max lifting 25 lbs.

Ironerarea – Ability to pull sheets from bin with 25-30 pounds of pressure.

Abilityto use repetitive motion

Abilityto walk and stand for long periods of time

Abilityto speak, see and hear

Abilityto have color distinction and hand-eye coordination

Abilityto lift, push, pull 90+ pounds

Abilityto grasp, reach, bend, twist, stoop and climb ladders.

Abilityto freely move about the work area

Abilityto work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment with variations in temperature

Abilityto tolerate dust

Positionsthat have contact with the public require the ability to work in a noisy
environment and may be exposed to guests who use tobacco products.  Also, non-public contact positions may berequired to enter public areas from time to time, in connection with theirduties, and may be subject to the same environment.
