This is a remote eligible position available for hire from the following locations: NV, FL, TX, OH, MS, MI, MD, MA, and NJ.

THE JOB: 

The IT Privacy Analyst supports the efforts of the MGMRI Privacy Office by working closely with all departments to support the  development and maintenance of ongoing privacy-related efforts across the organization. The individual in this position also helps to manage compliance reporting requirements and participates in the development and maintenance of the auditing and monitoring  process for MGMRI's Privacy Office.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Build and regularly update online privacy portals, MGMRIs online Privacy Policy and other Privacy customer front-facing website/mobile app accessibility tools to follow the California Consumer Privacy Act (“CCPA”).

  • Create Privacy training documents and instruct/train MGM staff members on privacy matters.

  • Effectively encourages Privacy by Design (data protection through technology design) across the organization.

  • Approve data transfers, initiate Privacy Impact Assessments (“PIA’s”), and flag risks accordingly.

  • Communicates with teams affected by new privacy and data protection laws and regulations, such as marketing and physical security teams.

  • Ensure that necessary changes to policies and procedures are made as new laws and regulations are updated or created.

  • Serves as an internal expert resource for privacy compliance.

  • Responds to policy and procedural questions.

  • Guides the resolution of privacy compliance issues including effective communication of these issues to business units.

  • Responds to various audits, compliance questions, or stakeholder requests.

  • Creates and maintains documentation related to Privacy compliance.

  • Regularly connects with third-party business partners to make sure both businesses are following privacy laws as it relates to data subject access requests (e.g., OpenTable).

  • Regularly attend training sessions, conferences, webinars on Privacy matters to be the Privacy Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MGMRI.

  • Investigate privacy trends, new and evolving privacy laws and important changes to existing privacy laws that may affect the organization.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent experience. 

  • 1+ years of prior relevant experience.

  • Previous experience managing multiple high priority projects and assignments simultaneously.

  • IT Governance tool experience (OneTrust, etc.).
