Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

·         Ensures a fun-filled and exciting environment where the flawless delivery and execution of service excellence is paramount.

·         Ensures four star service standards through the flawless execution of all assigned duties.

·         Is responsible for the removal of all foreign materials from linens and uniforms.

·         Disposes of foreign materials in accordance with established procedures.

·         Sorts soiled laundry based on type and degree of soil.

·         Inspects all linen for quality, checking for stains, wrinkles, and overall fabric condition/appearance.

·         Hangs garments on racks.

·         Pulls/pushes full and empty laundry carts.

·         Completes all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.

·         Maintains work areas and equipment in a clean and orderly condition at all times.

·         Follows all established safety and security guidelines.

·         Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.

·         Adheres to all regulatory, company and department policies and procedures.

·         Completes all other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIREMENTS:

·         High School diploma or equivalent required.

·         Prior experience preferred but not required.

·         Must be a team player.

·         Ability to stand for long periods of time.

·         Able to work a flexible shift to include nights, holidays and weekends.

 

JOB DEMANDS:

·         Lifts up to a maximum of 50 pounds and frequently lifts and/or carries up to 25 pounds.

·         Position requires 35% standing, 5% sitting, 60% walking.

·         Requires frequent kneeling, stooping, reaching over head and very frequent bending, pushing, twisting and climbing.

·         Must be able to read, understand and tolerate the usage of cleaning chemicals.

·         Must be able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment.

·         Must have the manual dexterity to operate cleaning equipment and machines.

·         Must be able to work in areas containing secondary smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust.

·         Requires the ability to respond to speech, touch, smell, aural and visual cues.
