Your day to day

As a Guest Service Agent, you’ll not only be the person that our guests rely on handle transactions throughout their journey with us, but you’ll go the extra mile to offer resort specific insights and anticipate their needs to ensure a friction-free highly memorable experience. You’ll be responsible for creating a warm inviting atmosphere that makes our guests feel at home right away. You’ll liaise directly with our guests in person and via phone, knowing that efficiency, accuracy and personalised interactions are the keys to success in this role. On the daily, you’ll;

  • Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience including acknowledgment of IHG One Rewards members and returning guests
  • Take and manage bookings, creating upselling opportunities and curating ways to improve their stay
  • Start every stay right by swiftly checking guests in and out – take IDs, hand out room keys, perform F&B services during guest transfers and provide concierge services
  • Be a trusted contact for all guests. Help them with anything from bill issues to local knowledge, and loop in management when necessary
  • Be a Resort ambassador, positively representing the InterContinental and IHG brands.

What we need from you

Ideally, you’ll have previous experience as a Guest Service Agent or Reservations Agent however candidates with previous customer service experience who have a positive, bubbly up beat attitude who are looking for the next challenge in their career are encouraged to apply. You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enthusiasm to work within a team, experience in delivering a high level of guest experience in a hotel environment and conflict resolution. Knowledge of a hotel property management system such as Opera would also be desirable.
