THE JOB:

As a Gardner Horticulture, you will be responsible for performing the day-to-day operations of the property to ensure that all areas are esthetically pleasing. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their stay with us. 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Plant, transplant, fertilize, water, prune, weed and apply chemicals to flower beds and plant areas.
  • Drive/Operate company vehicles or specialized carts to travel between properties and transport materials and equipment.
  • Properly use a variety of manual hand tools and equipment such as rakes, loppers, hand says, pruning shears, shovels, hoes, fertilizer spreaders, pesticide sprayers, sod knifes and hedge shears.
  • Operate specialized power and motorized equipment such as blowers, hedge trimmers, light tractors, lawn mowers, lawn edgers, chainsaws, aerial lifts, forklifts, turf aerators, roto-tillers and forklifts.
  • Ensure appropriate pest management and irrigation management practices.
  • Inspect work area to identify any potential safety hazards and ensure the landscape meets appearance standards.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • One (1) of prior relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
  • Knowledge of exterior and interior plants.
  • Takes pride in their work.
  • Looks forward to working with a team to provide positive experiences.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, self-directed, and team player.
  • Can handle multiple tasks at one time.
