THE JOB:

As a Front Desk Agent, you will be responsible for warmly greeting patrons, verify their credentials, and assist them with checking in for their stay. You will play a vital role in our mission to own the guest’s experience and create WOW memories that they will carry with them far beyond their time with us. 

STARTING RATE: $18.10 /hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Warm Guest Welcome and Service:
    • Greet guests as they arrive, making them feel part of the MGM Resorts family.
    • Anticipate their needs and address any concerns promptly, following the S.H.O.W. Service Basics.
  • Efficient Check-In and Check-Out Process:
    • Manage early and late arrivals and departures seamlessly.
    • Handle walk-ins and ensure smooth guest room check-ins and check-outs.
  • Enhancing Guest Experience:
    • Offer upgraded accommodations when available, adhering to authorized programs and processes.
    • Promote MGM Rewards enrollment and benefits to enhance guest loyalty.
  • Collaboration with Housekeeping and Other Departments:
    • Partner with Housekeeping and related departments to meet guest expectations.
    • Address special requests promptly and efficiently.
  • Financial Transactions and Responsibility:
    • Post correct charges and credits to guest accounts.
    • Collect payments, handle cash and credit transactions, and maintain accurate cash balances following property procedures.
  • Key Control and Security:
    • Issue room keys securely.
    • Prioritize guest security, privacy, and confidentiality throughout their stay.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Education:
    • High School Diploma or GED: A basic educational qualification is essential.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 6 Months of Cash Handling Experience: Proficiency in handling financial transactions is essential.
    • 1 Year of Guest Service Experience: Prior experience in customer service roles is valuable.
  • Software Proficiency:
    • Experience with Opera Software: Familiarity with Opera, a popular property management system used in the hospitality industry, is advantageous.
  • Language Skills:
    • Bilingual: Proficiency in at least two languages (in addition to English) is highly desirable. This skill facilitates effective communication with diverse guests.
