THE JOB:

As a Food Server at TAP Sports Bar inside Excalibur, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional customer service by taking and delivering orders, maintaining tables, ensuring guest satisfaction, and finalizing checks. Your goal is to create memorable WOW moments that keep guests coming back for more. In addition to these responsibilities, you'll perform side work and maintain the cleanliness of your assigned stations, ensuring a top-notch experience for every guest.

STARTING RATE: $13.53/hour plus tips

RESTAURANT HOURS: Sunday, Saturday: 11am to 10pm

                                          Monday to Friday: 5pm to 10pm

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Welcome Guests with Enthusiasm: Greet every guest with a positive, friendly attitude, ensuring they feel warmly welcomed and excited about their visit to TAP Sports Bar.

  • Expert in Menu Knowledge: Utilize your in-depth knowledge of our menu items to provide expert recommendations and enhance the dining experience.

  • Beverage and Alcohol Expertise: Demonstrate proficiency in beer and alcoholic beverage options, using your expertise to guide guests in their choices and elevate their overall experience.

  • Maintain a Clean and Tidy Table Setting: Ensure table cleanliness using a discreet, efficient approach to service, maintaining a professional environment that supports an outstanding guest experience.

  • Accurate Billing and Payment Processing: Itemize bills accurately and process payments efficiently, ensuring a smooth and hassle-free experience for our guests.

  • Upkeep and Organization: Keep assigned areas, side stations, tables, and Point of Sale (POS) stations clean and well-stocked, contributing to an organized and efficient work environment.

  • Anticipate and Address Guest Needs: Proactively anticipate guests’ needs and respond with urgency and care, delivering exceptional service that keeps them coming back.

  • Effective Communication: Collaborate with management, chefs, and culinary staff to address and resolve any guest requests or issues promptly, ensuring seamless service and guest satisfaction.

  • Additional Job-Related Duties: Perform various other tasks as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work Schedule: Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Experienced Food Server: Has a proven track record of success in food service roles, with hands-on experience.

  • Exceptional Customer Service Skills: Consistently provides outstanding customer service by anticipating guest needs, responding with a sense of urgency, and creating memorable experiences that encourage repeat visits.

  • Proficient in POS Systems: Skilled in using Point of Sale (POS) systems to accurately process orders, handle payments, and manage transactions efficiently.

  • Expert in Bar and Alcohol Knowledge: Demonstrates a thorough understanding of beer, spirits, and cocktails, with the ability to guide guests through our beverage menu and make informed recommendations.

  • Passionate Sports Enthusiast: Possesses a deep knowledge and enthusiasm for sports, able to engage guests in meaningful conversations and provide recommendations based on current games and events.

  • Team-Oriented and Adaptable: Works well within a team, communicates effectively with colleagues and management, and is adaptable to various roles and tasks to support a seamless and efficient operation.
