Facilities Groundskeeper (FT) (Horseshoe Tunica) | Caesers

Job Description

JOB DETAILS:
  • Pick up all debris on exterior of property.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of all areas of the parking garage.
  • Sweep parking garage, front lot, side lots between Horseshoe and Goldstrike and employee parking lot.
  • Clean elevators by wiping down walls, cleaning tracks and replacing light bulbs.
  • Clean Trash out of moat and maintain proper chemicals.
  • Fill pot holes in front and back lots.
  • In the winter months, maintain entrances with ice melt products and scrap the parking lot when necessary.
  • Ability to physically maneuver throughout the resort and in assigned work area(s) in order to meet requirements of the job function as described.
  • Lift, carry, push or drag items of up to 50 lbs. (supplies, equipment, trash & receptacles)
  • Must be able to read and understand all safety labeling and cautions on equipment, chemicals and supplies.
  • Has the ability to work standing and walking for long periods of time.
  • Ability to reach and use frequent and repetitive arm movements while using landscaping equipment and supplies.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned, which may include moving tables and furniture when needed.
  • Responds to and consistently meets the needs of internal clients. 
  • Supports and cultivates new ideas and methods to deliver business solutions.  .
  • Identifies ways to increase efficiencies or improve product or service. 
  • Delivers assignments/projects on time and completes all aspects before delivering to internal clients.  
  • Clearly communicates programs/services to necessary people, seeks their support and keeps them informed of changes that may impact the business. 
  • Keeps track of existing products/services and/or progress on new initiatives.  
  • Stays up to date with the latest developments in the profession.  
  • Develops skills to handle increasingly complex matters.

EDUCATION/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
  • Physically strong.
  • Previous grounds experience preferred.
PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
  • Ability to physically maneuver throughout the resort and in assigned work area(s)
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned  area
  • Lift, carry, push or drag items of up to 50 lbs (supplies, equipment, trash & receptacles)

  • Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
