THE JOB:

Join the Mandalay Bay team as an Executive Meeting Sales Manager! Your responsibility is to negotiate and contract room rates and meeting space for small group events from 10-100+ rooms on peak nights. It is the responsibility of the Manager to maintain and manage accounts, secure future business opportunities within their respective markets, and attend networking meetings to promote group business.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Inquiries and Client Management: Pre-qualify, negotiate rates, issue proposals and contracts, and process bookings. Maintain ongoing communication with established and prospective clients, ensuring all interactions adhere to departmental policies and procedures.

  • Sales and Account Development: Meet and exceed revenue goals by prospecting, making sales calls, entertaining, and conducting site inspections using persuasive verbal and written communication. Identify and develop opportunities to maximize revenue by selling all facets of the hotel.

  • Representation and Strategic Planning: Attend trade shows, client, and industry events, ensuring consistency within corporate standards. Provide input and execute a strategic plan for the assigned geographic territory in line with department goals.

  • Teamwork and Compliance: Foster teamwork, performance, feedback, recognition, mutual respect, and employee satisfaction.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent work experience

  • 1 year of relevant experience as an Executive Meeting Sales Manager, Sales Coordinator, Group Reservations, VIP or Concierge
