Job Description


Assist in the day-to-day supervision to achieve customer satisfaction and quality service while assuring compliance with policies and Standard operating Procedures. Conducts inspections for cleanliness and uphold standards of daily staff of 30+ employees effectively. The EVS Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the cleanliness and appearance of casino public areas and public restrooms.


  • Provide direction and development for support staff and team members, resulting in strong, self-managed teams.
  • Participate in the interview and hiring process, also ensuring new hires receive proper training and guidance. 
  • Evaluate performances and provide routine feedback.
  • Assist in supervising property cleanliness throughout public areas, especially the casino floor, hotel, and restroom areas. 
  • Ensure daily maintenance procedures and results adhere to company and regulatory standards. 
  • Create a safe and productive work environment, where team members willingly strive to do their best. 
  • Understand the budget process and inventory supply and control.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the role, participate in occasional meetings and training sessions, and collaborate with other department leaders on how to enhance current procedures.


  • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Minimum one (1) year supervisory experience in housekeeping or environmental services.


  • Working knowledge of chemical and cleaning supplies, as well as proper techniques and safety procedures (ie. MSDS, OSHA)
  • Ability to direct oneself and complete duties without supervision. 
  • Effective and persuasive English communication skills, both verbal and written, in a professional manner.  
  • Ability to understand and create written and financial reports. 
  • Excellent interpersonal, customer service, team building, and problem-solving skills required.
  • Computer and software proficiency highly preferred.  
  • Bilingual abilities helpful.  
  • Ability to cooperate and work well in a team environment.
  • Must present a well-groomed appearance.
  • Must be able to perform the physical duties of line employees in emergencies. 


  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization. 
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.


  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues. 
  • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational resolutions when handling guest and employee conflicts.

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the Casino, hotel and public areas.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
  • Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist and grip items while working at assigned area.
  • Must be able to stand for the majority of assigned shift.
  • Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment, including a 10 key adding machine, PC computers.
  • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke.
