Job amp; Function                                                                                                                                                                                                                                          It is the primary responsibility of the Parts Room Attendant to receive, unpack, check, store, and track merchandise or materials.

        All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and Circus Circus Reno policies, practices and procedures.

  Specific Job Functions: 

  • Must be able to lift over 60 pounds.
  • May require transporting, pushing, pulling and maneuvering large loads weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Able to climb ladders and use ladders over 12 foot.
  • Requires climbing stairs.
  • Must be able to communicate in English, in both oral and written form.
  • Receive, unpack, check, store, and track merchandise or materials.
  • Keep records of items entering or leaving the Parts Room or other storage areas and inspect for any damage.
  • Sort, organize, and mark items with identifying codes, stock, or inventory control codes so that inventory can be located easily and quickly.
  • Review orders for completeness and clarity.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • May perform Dispatch and Utility Engineer duties.
  • Changing light bulbs.
  • General clean up.                                                                        
  • Work inside and outside in all weather conditions.
  • Work in areas which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky, crowded, and dimly lit.
  • Work entails chemical usage.

Performs other job related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • May require prolonged standing.
  • Requires frequent bending, and stooping.
  • Requires hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity.
  • Requires use of hand tools.
  • Requires normal sense of smell, touch and sound.
  • Requires normal vision range and absence of color blindness.
  • Requires the ability to distinguish letters and symbols.
  • Requires regular and predictable attendance. 
  • Ability to perform basic math.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills to deal effectively with guests.
  • Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to departmental and Circus Circus Reno standards.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Nevada driver’s license.
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
