Prime Function:

 

  • Assist the Engineering Supervisor & Assistant Chief Engineering in maintenance and care of all the equipment.
  • Maintain quality of work in order to meet the standards.
  • To control and check all the equipment.
  • Ensure to work according to the policies and procedures of the hotel.
  • Ensure to handle and maintain all equipments properly.
  • Any matter which may effect the interests of hotel should be brought to the attention of the Management.
  • To abide by the mission statement of the Company and of the department.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Engineering Planning

 

  • Assist the Director of Engineering to identify the major facilities and equipment requirements for the department and the property.
  • Ensure correct maintenance of all equipment in conjunction with the other user departments & stay abreast of technological advances in surveillance & safety of equipment.

 

People Management

 

  • Establish and maintain seamless co-ordination & co-operation with all departments engineering to ensure maximum cooperation, productivity, morale and guest service.
  • Provide effective support to the team to enable them to deliver effective and efficient services.
  • Respond to queries by resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Motivate and develop the team to ensure smooth functioning of the department.

 

Financial Management

 

  • Ensure to keep and render accounts of all materials used.
  • Identify optimal, cost effective use of the resources.

 

 

Operational Management

 

  • Maintain all the equipment as per the specified standards.
  • Set up drill press, lathe, millers, shapers, grinders, and thread cutter to mill, drill, turn shape, grind or thread such metals as steel, bronze, brass, etc.
  • Is responsible for performance of heating boilers.
  • Maintain all tools and equipment as required.
  • Assist other departmental personnel as necessary.
  • Ensure to complete all the tasks assigned in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Complete the necessary reports, work orders, etc. as required.
  • Ensure to practice Safety in all aspects of the job.

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or ITI
  • 1 to 2 years of Technician & HVAC experience
  • Proficiency in monitoring HVAC
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
