THE JOB

It is the responsibility of the Fire Control Maintenance Dispatcher to provide excellent internal and external Guest Service by using excellent service and communication skills to support the guest, engineers and other departments in their goals. Is part of a  courteous, professional, and engaging team that oversees all department operations as related to the life safety system and facility  management system.

STARTING PAY RATE: $18 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY

  • Manage computerized maintenance management and life safety systems to prioritize, manage and dispatch maintenance team, complete assigned administrative tasks on a consistent basis
  • Maintain a constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety and accident prevention
  • Recognize required needs of a fast-paced environment by using good judgment and the ability to multi-task
  • Own requests and complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest’s satisfaction, answer incoming  calls and assist when necessary or direct calls to appropriate areas
  • Create a positive work environment, greet fellow employees and thank them when they lend assistance, anticipate guests’  needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, no matter how busy or time of day, prioritize guest requests and  dispatches
  • Knowledgeable of Department and Hotel goals, Hotel information to answer guest inquiries, and work under minimal  supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner

THE REQUIRED

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  •  1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • General knowledge of mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
  • Able to communicate through two-way radio and/or cellular telephone, and through a multi-line phone system
  • Able to use a microphone and speak over a public-address system while reading emergency announcements in a calm and  confident voice
  • Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Basic knowledge of computer software to include Outlook, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint as well as office equipment,  i.e. telephone, copier, fax machine
  • Excellent organizational skills to function effectively under time constraints and within established deadlines, with particular  attention to detail
  • Effective listening abilities with strong judgment skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts
