Responsibilities

  • Expertise in providing direction and sales leadership in the group incentive market.  Specialist in client event design, unique site inspections, client proposals/collateral and group packaging.  Manage the Group Incentive Market and reach annual sales goals

  • Support the DOM during budget process and creating the marketing plan.  Managing MAR’s with Revenue Manager.  Attend events/meetings on behalf of DOS when needed. Versed in forecasting and yield management
  • Promote and sell to assigned market in defined geographic region or vertical segment. Generate hotel/resort awareness through direct phone sales; direct sales calls, tradeshows and networking groups.  Work closely with sales and marketing team to solicit, sell and confirm business required to meet budgeted sales goals. Candidate should possess the ability to solicit travel and create business development plans independently. This position requires a high degree of independent judgment and discretion in decision-making with minimal supervision.
  • Reading, writing and oral proficiency in the required language. Good personal & professional references. Working computer skills and knowledge including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Delphi, online RFP platforms, IdEAS, Internet and Opera.

Desired Qualifications and Skills

  • College Degree – 4 years, or equivalent experience strongly preferred
  • Previous experience as an Associate Director of Sales or equivalent.
  • Luxury hotel Sales preferred (minimum of 3 years)
  • Proven sales track record a plus.
