ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Direct and oversee the daily operation of the Housekeeping, ensure effective communication for operational issues
- Constantly perform inspections to ensure the overall standards of cleanliness and maintenance of guestrooms, public areas and back-of-the-house areas, in adhering to hotel guidelines and brand service standards
- Demonstrate financial acumen and prepare forecasts, monitor daily reports and control the expenses per the department budget without sacrificing the quality of services
- Strive for service excellence by incorporating guest satisfaction as a component of departmental meetings with a focus on continuous improvement
- Foster and maintain strong, positive and supportive relationships with Front Office through effective communication and collaboration
- Evaluate staffing levels in accordance with business demand, provide recommendations for adjustments when needed
- Monitor and manage team performance by providing supervision and professional development, counselling and coaching
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant supervisory experience in a sizeable luxury hotel with at least 3 years in similar capacity
- Proven managerial abilities in people management, strategic planning and decision making
- Highly organized, result-oriented with exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to effectively communicate and provide directions in a clear, concise and professional manner in both verbal and written form
- Previous working experience in Asia-Pacific is an advantage
