Job Description

What will I be doing?

  • ·        Formulate and execute comprehensive communication strategies to bolster brand awareness and engagement through various channels.
  •         Spearhead public relations initiatives to secure media coverage and foster relationships with key media figures and influencers.
  •         Serve as a confident and articulate communicator proficient in both English and preferably Arabic, with exceptional verbal and written skills.
  •         Demonstrate excellent organizational and planning abilities, coupled with a thorough understanding of media dynamics and relationships.
  •         Proactively pitch stories to media outlets, prepare media kits, and organize press conferences.
  •        Articulate the organization’s viewpoint to its primary audience through media press releases and interviews.
  •         Craft speeches for organizational leaders and oversee the preparation of press releases and media alerts.
  •         Develop a media relations strategy, aiming for prominent placements across print, broadcast, and online platforms.
  •         Coordinate all public relations activities and direct social media efforts to engage audiences effectively.
  •         Utilize existing media relationships while cultivating new contacts within business and industry spheres.
  •         Manage media inquiries, interview requests, and create content for various communication materials.
  •         Monitor and analyze PR outcomes regularly, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
  •         Evaluate partnership and sponsorship opportunities continuously to enhance brand visibility.
  •         Foster relationships with thought leaders to elevate industry awareness and stay abreast of relevant trends.
  •         Plan, implement, and oversee PR programs and events while adhering to allocated budgets.
  •         Ensure corporate image compliance with brand standards through frequent monitoring.
  •         Supervise content production for website and social media channels.
  •         Develop and enforce PR policies and procedures, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department.
  •         Build enduring relationships with stakeholders, including local government, media, and politicians.
  •        Generate content for speeches, events, and other relevant platforms.
  •        Provide guidance on crisis communication and media strategies as necessary.
  • Ensure all company materials have consistent and positive messaging and branding
  • Develop and execute an internal communications strategy to ensure employees are informed on organizational news, events, and objectives
  • Monitor and analyze communication metrics to ensure effectiveness of strategies
  • Conduct quality control on all communications and content

What are we looking for?

A Director of Communications serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Communications or a related field.

·        Minimum of 4 years of PR experience, preferably in luxury hospitality or fashion.

·        Strong leadership skills to motivate and inspire teams.

·        Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to foster relationships internally and externally.

·        Creativity and passion for storytelling and content creation.

·        Experience in multicultural environments, adaptable to international clientele needs.

·        Familiarity with the UAE hospitality market, Abu Dhabi market is advantageous.
